A full scale global logistics provider must be able to cost effectively handle any type of product movement. Very large products sometimes demand being transported fully assembled. FML Roll On Roll Off Vessel Services (RORO) allows for roll-on roll-off cargo which is driven on and off the vessel. RORO cargo consists of items such as cars, tractors, buses and trucks, or oversized cargo loaded on special flatbed, mafi or lowboy trailers. Over-dimensional, self-propelled, motorized, on wheels or on tracks cargo is rolled onto specialized vessels and then rolled off at destination ports. This specialized cargo is secured in garage-like decks for the entire sailing, protected from salt water.

This RORO operation avoids the full dismantling and re-assembly costs in containerization and provides the lowest cost for your over-dimensional transport needs. It is the safest and most inexpensive way to handle and transport oversized or special project cargo. Since shipments often move as one piece using specialized trailers from origin to port to destination, there is less physical handling.

RORO vessels sail world-wide to RORO ready ports…but FML’s service doesn’t stop there. FML provides truck, rail, and barge transport along with documentation services in origin country and beyond the destination port. If your equipment doesn’t have wheels, FML can put it on wheels, making it possible to receive the benefits of RORO service.
